Great opportunity to work as an Order Picker for our client who sources high quality commercial grade timbers from around the world.

Staffline is recruiting Order Pickers in Cradley Heath.

The rate of pay is £13.10 per hour.

Overtime is available and is paid at £19.65 per hour.

This is a full-time role working fixed shifts, Monday to Friday, and the hours of work are:
- Monday to Friday 7am - 7pm, Friday early finish 3:30pm

Your Time at Work

As an Order Picker you will be responsible for assisting the Yard Manager and Supervisors in the administration, planning, coordination and control of all yard operations. Other duties include:

- Ensure that goods and services are picked and produced efficiently; that they are of the right quality and quantity and that they are produced on time, in full, to the satisfaction of the customer
- Operating any machinery in a professional, safe and accurate manner in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, training and health & safety guidelines
- Ensuring that the order picking and production are cost effective
- Making sure that products are picked on time and are of good quality
- Ensuring quality standards are adhered to
- Ensuring all associated machinery is correctly maintained
- Monitoring product standards and assisting with implementing quality-control programmes
- Working with managers and supervisors to implement the company's policies and goals
- Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed
- Assisting with Panel Products when required
- Assisting the Yard manager and supervisors in all aspects of yard operations

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will have great English skills, verbal and written. You will show good attention to detail, a methodical approach to work, and have initiative and problem-solving skills.

Applicants will have basic knowledge of the current relevant legislation, regulations, and associated procedures and how to comply with them, and knowledge of the requirements of the relevant Health and Safety legislation.

Experience in a similar role and current relevant licenses/certifications are required.
