Warehouse Operative - INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY

Location: Magna Warehouse Rotherham

Reports to: Head of Maintenance

Job Type: Full-time / Permanent

Salary: £25,553 per annum

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods efficiently and safely, ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality.
  • Pick and prepare orders for collection by Target staff.
  • Safely and securely load goods onto collection vehicles.
  • Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks.
  • Perform regular stock checks and report discrepancies.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
  • Support other departments as required.
Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (preferred but not essential).

Good physical fitness – ability to lift and move heavy items.

Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Flexible approach to working hours and tasks.
