A leading game development studio based in Kemp Town Estate is looking for an experienced Frontend Developer to join their Brighton team. The role involves building UI systems for games alongside designers and co-development partners, requiring experience with HTML, CSS, and JS libraries, along with familiarity with Typescript and React.js. Candidates should have a passion for games and provide a shareable portfolio showing previous work. This position comes with a focus on work/life balance and a hybrid working environment.

Sprung Studios is looking for an experienced Frontend Developer to join the Engineering team in our Brighton Studio. Working alongside the project team and our co-development partners you will help to build UI systems for games. This is not a web development role – games experience essential. Sprung is a globally recognised partner for the games industry and has worked on some of the biggest games for clients such as EA, Microsoft, Bethesda, SEGA and many more.
- Work with UX/UI Designers to build interfaces for games
- Work closely with co-development partners and Production to design, write, debug, and refine UI systems
- Assist in the design of UI functionality
- Implement UI design assets in-game
- 3+ Years of experience building websites, UI, or games using HTML, CSS & Js libraries
- Familiarity with Typescript
- Familiarity with the React.js library
- Interest in Games and Game development
- Interest in User Interfaces and User Experience
- Shareable portfolio of previous work on Games/Websites
- Degree in a related field
- Experience using task and project management tools
- Familiarity with SCMs such as Git or Perforce
- Experience creating UI for games
- Experience using game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine
