Salary: £70,000 | Location: North London | Regions: Hertfordshire, London
Technical Manager – North London – Residential – requires an experienced Technical Coordinator/Project Architect moving into a Technical Manager role. Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager/Technical Director, you will oversee the technical and design team and work closely with the technical coordinators during development.
- Oversee the full working drawings packages and liaise with the architectural team to ensure packages are delivered on time.
- Coordinate with the commercial and production teams during the development process.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure design information is accurate and delivered to program milestones.
- Residential developer experience of 6+ years working on multiple new build developments from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of development/technical design processes.
- Proven experience with detailed design for residential schemes using construction forms including RC frame and timber frame.
- Ability to question and query design information across all disciplines.
- Architectural background; AutoCAD experience is beneficial.
- Understanding of statutory requirements (Building Regulations, NHBC Standards, Sustainability) with ability to interpret and negotiate compliance.
- Ability to interpret design and project programmes, identify Critical Paths.
- Degree level education or possession of a relevant professional qualification.
- Strong communication skills across all disciplines and levels; well organised with attention to detail; able to manage people, processes and time.
- Team player with the ability to liaise with commercial and production teams throughout the development.
