Burton Borough School is seeking an inspiring and committed Child Development and Design Technology Teacher (maternity cover) to join our thriving team at a truly exciting time in our journey. Our Child Development and Design Technology provision is built on a foundation of relevance, creativity, and practical learning. We offer a well-sequenced and engaging curriculum that helps students understand human growth and development, while also developing hands-on skills in design, innovation, and problem-solving. We are looking for a teacher who brings energy and enthusiasm to the classroom, has excellent subject knowledge across Child Development and DT, and delivers engaging and challenging lessons that inspire curiosity, creativity, and independence. The successful candidate will join a team that values student voice, adaptive teaching, and learning beyond the classroom.

• Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Child Development and Design Technology.
• Contribute to a well-sequenced, relevant curriculum and collaborate with the team to support student learning.
• Support student voice, adaptive teaching, and learning beyond the classroom.
• Engage in professional development and contribute to school improvement through CPD activities.
