- Support and assist residents in their day‑to‑day lives
- Assist residents with cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene while promoting independence
- Attend local community events, networks and venues including cinemas, swimming baths and nightclubs
- Promote and support personal development and learning new life skills
- Update and record resident records to monitor health and well‑being
- Provide emotional and physical support
The Squirrels is a 9‑bed specialist residential service for adults of working age with autism and learning disabilities, who may present with challenging behaviours. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment, promoting independence and community integration.
- Adults from the age of 18 years and beyond
- Individuals diagnosed with autism and/or learning disabilities
- Those who may present challenging behaviours
- Residents with communication challenges and complex needs
- Essential – Positive attitude and caring approach, strong communication skills, ability to work as part of a team, flexible approach to support work and shift patterns.
- Desirable – Previous care experience working with adults with autism or learning disabilities, understanding of challenging behaviour.
- £13.87 per hour (inclusive of 12.1% A/L allowance)
