Job summary
A care service provider in North Kesteven is seeking a reliable individual to assist an elderly lady with personal care and daily activities. Responsibilities include supporting with toileting, cooking, and developing a trusting relationship. Previous caring experience and patience are essential. This role offers flexible hours, with a pay rate of £12.21 per hour.
Qualifications
- Must have previous caring experience.
- Be patient and provide non-judgemental emotional support.
- Be able to work flexibly, adapting to daily needs.
Responsibilities
- Support and/or prompt with personal care including toileting, showering, and dressing.
- Assist with cooking, meal preparation, and eating.
- Develop trust with the individual.
Skills
Elderly lady suffering with mixed dementia requiring assistance first thing each morning including personal care with some additional hours of support to be used flexibly through the week.

- Dementia, walks with a frame short distances
- The individual keeps pets in the home - 1 friendly dog.
- Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
- Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
- Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.
The individual's needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and/or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).
Car driver preferred but not essential.
- Be honest, reliable, trustworthy and punctual.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy, including the prohibited use of social media in relation to the job role.
- Be patient, supportive and caring.
- Have good listening skills and be able to provide non‑judgemental emotional support.
- Previous caring experience is essential.
- Be able to work flexibly, adapting to the employer's needs on a daily basis.
- Flexibility would be an advantage as the hours may be variable.
- Have a lively personality.
- Experience with dementia.
Successful candidates are required to undertake any training that is considered necessary and appropriate to the role. Moving and Handling training will be provided by the employer.
