To provide support for a 9-year-old girl who has Autism and ADHD and is unable to communicate verbally.

Main Duties

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Autism Support Worker to enable this child to access age‑appropriate leisure activities in the local community. As she is unable to communicate verbally, she will need support and guidance to help her engage and understand new environments. She can become overwhelmed and display some difficult behaviours due to frustration and will require positive, patient and sensitive support. Some of her favourite activities include visiting the park and the beach, and she also loves to go for rides on the bus or in the car. Support will also be required with all personal care.

Hours

4 hours per week during all term time weeks and then 8 hours per week in February, Easter, May and October school holidays. Then 12 hours per week during the six weeks summer school holidays.

Rate of pay

£13.74 per hour. Holidays are 5.6 weeks per year pro‑rata. Out of pocket expenses will be met by the employer. ILGPA Benefit Scheme.
