A leading defence organisation in the UK seeks a candidate to lead the Environmental Engineering team. You will oversee mechanical and climatic test activities, manage a team of engineers, and ensure test facilities meet industry standards. Candidates should possess leadership experience, a strong understanding of environmental test processes, and a degree-level education. Salary: Up to £70,000, depending on experience
Hybrid working pattern: This role offers the opportunity for a balance of on‑site and remote working
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
An opportunity has arisen within the Environmental Engineering & Facilities (EE&F) UK Function for the right candidate to lead our Mechanical & Climatic Test Department.
The team consists of approximately 40 engineers (including 6 direct reports) in Stevenage/Henlow. EE&F is integral within all MBDA land, sea and air based weapon system Projects and operates at all stages of the product lifecycle. Within this role you will be responsible for the delivery of M&C Test task packages through the provision of technical management and leadership across our environmental test, structural test and facilities teams as well as management of our M&C test facilities.
