The role of a Tax Trainee is to assist in corporate tax compliance and advisory services as part of a specialist team. They will prepare corporation tax computations, returns and provide bespoke advice to clients on their tax affairs.

• Learn and use Alphatax (tax software) and processes to prepare corporation tax computations and returns.
• Prepare tax numbers for financial statements and develop a thorough understanding of financial statements and clients’ businesses.
• Obtain relevant information from other departments and clients while building effective communication.
• Write reports and produce client deliverables in clear, actionable language.
• Support the team with client relationships and requests.
• Manage a structured client portfolio focusing on tax reporting.
• Engage in a range of tax reporting and advisory engagements across UK tax.
• Develop strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation.
• Coach and lead junior team members on advisory engagements.
• Understand how different corporate entities operate across sectors.
• Build client relationships and deliver repeat engagements.
• Manage tax reporting engagements, including planning, budgeting and project managing different service lines.
• Maintain control and risk management procedures.
• Support business development efforts to bring new client wins to the team and portfolio.

• On track or have obtained an undergraduate degree with strong academic performance.
