Waste and Recycling is collected from every resident and Powys is one of the best performing Councils in Wales for recycling. • Drive and load a variety of waste and recycling collection vehicles, taking responsibility for the vehicle throughout the working day.
• Ensure residents put out the correct materials for recycling in the right containers and leave information if they are not.
• Unload the vehicle at transfer stations, following all site rules.
• Report any problems to Supervisors so that residents receive a quality service.
• Assist with other activities such as working at transfer stations, making deliveries and bulky waste collections.

• HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (essential).
• Pride in your work, reliability, and willingness to work as part of a team to get the job done.
• Commitment to helping increase recycling in Powys.
• Flexible, positive, approachable, and committed to making a difference to the local community; first point of contact for the service.
• Enjoy working outdoors in all weathers throughout the year.
• Able to follow instructions for your own and colleagues health and safety.
