Job description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. The Future Flares team within the Department of Art and Performance are seeking an Event and Technical Assistant to assist with the technical aspects and staging duties for upcoming events at the Future Flares Festival. This role is only open to those students who are fully registered with Jobs4Students (this includes having attended a right to work appointment) and meet the following requirements.

• Work closely with festival co‑ordinator and technical staff to meet production needs
• Assist by preparing performance spaces for specific events
• Attend rehearsals, taking detailed technical notes
• Help coordinate the movement of equipment and props as needed by events
• Report Health and Safety hazards and equipment concerns to festival co‑ordinator and technical staff

Desirable requirements
