Job Description: Senior Engineer

Location: Central London

On behalf of my client, I am recruiting for a Senior Site Engineer to work on a £100M Student accommodation project in Central London.

Responsibilities as Site Engineer include:

• Supporting the Site Manager with daily operations.
• Acting as the main technical adviser on site for specialist subcontractors, including groundworks and concrete frame contractor.
• Setting out, levelling, and surveying the site; QA, temporary works checks, temporary works co–ordination.
• Checking plans, drawings, and setting out co–ordination.
• Calling off reinforcement from schedules and reading reinforcement drawings.
• Maintaining detailed records of QA inspections daily/weekly.
• Ensuring all materials and work performed meet specifications.

• A Degree / HND in engineering or relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years postgraduate experience.
• Experience with setting out structures over £10m.
• Experience calling off reinforcement and reading reinforcement drawings.
• Operational knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and planning skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Self-motivated with a drive to achieve results.
• IT literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Flexibility regarding site location within the UK & Ireland.
