Site Engineer - Highways & Earthworks

Contract | Early 2026 Start | Northamptonshire

We're currently recruiting on behalf of a leading highways contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to support a major highways project in Northamptonshire, starting early 2026.

This role will suit a hands‑on engineer with strong setting‑out capability and experience working within a highways and earthworks environment.

The Role

• Setting out for highways and earthworks works
• Producing and maintaining as‑built records
• Completing quality documentation in line with project requirements
• Supporting day‑to‑day engineering activities on site
• Working closely with site management and subcontractors to ensure accurate delivery

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways projects
• Strong setting‑out capability
• Experience with as‑built generation
• Highways and earthworks experience essential
• Good understanding of quality processes and site documentation

Desirable

• Competent with surveying equipment and engineering software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a site team
