Job summary
A construction management firm in the City of London seeks an experienced construction supervisor to oversee project activities, ensure adherence to schedules, and manage site safety. Candidates should have at least 1 year of relevant experience in construction projects and hold a BCSS certificate. A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field is preferred.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year relevant experience in construction projects.
- BCSS certification required.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a relevant major preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee construction activities and progress.
- Liaise with engineers and consultants for technical issues.
- Ensure site inspections and technical issues are resolved on time.
- Manage and control workers to maintain site safety.
Skills
Education
- Overseeing the construction activities and progress, planning, implementation and monitoring work schedules in accordance to the master and detailed work programme
- Liaise with Professional Engineer on the Temporary works
- Liaise with consultants (QPS) for technical issues and coordinate the site activities with subcontractors
- Handing of technical and engineering problems
- Provide guidance to supervisors in relation to construction works, ensure progress according to schedule, quality standards are maintained site inspections are carried out and technical issues are resolved on time
- Prepare report and method statement for site activity
- Manage and control workers and monitor their work closely to keep the site safer and neat
- Supervise ongoing site activities closely
- At least 1 year relevant experience in construction projects
- BCSS certificate
- Bachelor Degree in civil engineering or relevant major is preferred.
May be required to work overtime when necessary.
