A leading engineering consultancy in the UK is seeking a CAD Technician to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil engineering and proficiency in AutoCAD. This role involves assisting in the design of highway and drainage schemes and working closely with the design team to produce accurate drawings. Qualifications
- Experience as a CAD Technician in the civil engineering field.
- Ability to produce accurate and precise drawings using AutoCAD.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Directors and Associates with design team drawings for highway and drainage schemes.
- Utilise AutoCAD to create detailed drawings for various highway schemes.
- Undertake swept path analysis and incorporate design changes.

- Assisting the Directors and Associates alongside the design team to produce drawings for a range of highway and drainage schemes.
- Utilise AutoCAD software to create detailed drawings, plans and layouts for highway schemes, to include vehicular accesses and visibility splays.
- Undertake swept path analysis.
- Incorporate design changes and revisions as needed, ensuring accuracy and completeness of drawings.
- Coordinate with other members of the design team.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
- Good understanding of civil engineering principles and practices related to highway design.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise drawings.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent organisational skills and able to prioritise workload.
