Overview

Design & Technology Technician – South Ruislip, Middlesex (HA4 0LS)

Salary: £26,233 - £27,263 actual (£30,288 - £31,611 FTE)

Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday-Friday, Term-time + 1 week (39 weeks)

Start Date: December 2025

Closing Date: Monday 22nd September, 9am

Educate Recruitment Hub are proud to be recruiting for our great client, a highly successful secondary school in South Ruislip, Middlesex. This oversubscribed 11-18 academy is known for its high achievement and excellent behaviour (Ofsted). With brand-new specialist facilities completed in 2022, including three workshops, two computer suites, and dedicated areas for 3D printing and laser cutting, this is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and motivated Design & Technology Technician to join their team.

The Role
  • Prepare and organise resources for practical lessons (woods, metals, plastics).
  • Set up, maintain, and operate workshop machinery and equipment.
  • Support exciting projects using 3D printing and laser cutting.
  • Maintain machinery and manage ordering of supplies.
  • Assist staff and students in the workshops.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Confident in the use and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic engineering and/or mechanics (advantageous).
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting (desirable but not essential).
  • Practical, reliable, and eager to support both staff and students.

Full training will be provided where needed.
