Job Summary:

Lightsource bp is in a period of significant growth and has just delivered several strategic projects to refresh the Enterprise Systems we use across the organisation. At the heart of this modernisation was the delivery of a new SAP S/4HANA PCE system, IFS & Salesforce which have created a new digital core for our business operations within Lightsource bp. This builds on top of the previous delivery of the SAP Success Factors HCM system.

We are seeking a versatile and experienced professional to fill this Digital Product Manager role within Lightsource bp’s Enterprise System team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of enterprise-level IT solutions, managing product backlogs, and overseeing IT platforms to ensure they meet business objectives and technology strategies. The role will have management responsibilities for Salesforce but will also require flexibility and agility to support the management & development of other enterprise solutions as Lightsource bp continues to scale.

This position requires an individual who can work both strategically and operationally and will benefit from someone who is hands-on, analytical, strong tactical decision maker and oversee day-to-day operations to meet our business objectives. This role involves implementing best practices, maintaining system integrity, and driving continuous improvement to enhance the efficiency of IT projects, operations, and control processes. You should also have a strong ability to translate requirements into technical solutions and therefore a deep experience in business analysis, product development, as well as a well-rounded comprehension of business processes across business verticals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the platform and product strategies and roadmaps in alignment with business goals and market trends.
• Direct and influence a distributed community of product managers & owners, providing guidance and support to ensure successful product delivery.
• Work with teams across the business to ensure we have a cohesive product, user experience, and roadmap that aligns to our objectives.
• Represent the product suite (vision, roadmap, backlog & demand) in executive portfolio management meetings and help to mature the prioritisation & decision making within Lightsource bp.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Provide input on the business priority for any existing and new requirements of the project backlog.
• Take ownership of your product outcomes, prioritising brilliantly to drive business results.
• Write functional specifications describing what the customer wants to achieve, detailing the use-cases and workflows.
• Provide the best functional and technical solution to the business requirements and find creative solutions to complex problems.
• Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization.
• Ensure that products meet quality standards and deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Monitor and analyse product performance, using data to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the product management community.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform product strategy.
• Manage the product budget and resources effectively to achieve business objectives.
• Represent the product management community in executive meetings and provide regular updates on product performance and strategy.
• Oversee the management and maintenance of IT platforms, ensuring they meet product needs and performance standards.
• Monitor platform performance and availability, addressing any issues or incidents promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of IT platforms.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in enterprise systems design & architecture, particularly with Salesforce, SAP and IFS technologies.
• Expertise of IT project management methodologies, both Agile and Waterfall, Project management certifications preferred.
• Experience as a Scrum Master, preferably with Azure Dev Ops.
• Experience with architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman) and product management tools (e.g. Azure Dev Ops). Certifications would be advantageous.
• Experience managing complicated projects and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with integrating enterprise systems is highly desirable.
• Presentation and consultative skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate complicated topics in a clear and impactful manner, and to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in renewable energy, cutting edge and/or innovative fields.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
