Job summary
An environmental organization based in the UK is looking for a Senior Officer to join the Landfill Emissions Reduction Project. This temporary role focuses on delivering the Welsh Government's Net Zero Carbon Budget 2, working with a small team to conduct landfill gas audits and improve understanding of landfill regulation. The successful candidate will have hybrid working options and will be required to attend an NRW office for meetings. A competitive salary range of £41,132 - £44,988 is offered.

- Support the delivery of Net Zero Carbon Budget 2 focusing on landfill sites.
- Conduct landfill gas audits to improve gas capture and utilisation.
- Work within a team dedicated to landfill regulation and planning.

Work Pattern : 37 Hours Monday - Friday
As an organisation we support flexible working. This role allows hybrid working (a mix of home and office working), and a working pattern suitable for you can be discussed on appointment if you are successful. You will be contracted to an NRW office within the place base, which you will be required to attend for regular meetings, training, and one-to-one meetings with your manager. These will be planned in advance.
This is a rare opportunity to join and be an instrumental member of the Landfill Emissions Reduction Project (LERP) at Natural Resources Wales.
The post holder will support the delivery of Welsh Government's Net Zero Carbon Budget 2 (2025-2027) focusing on the environmental impact of both closed and operational landfill sites.
