A global energy job board in Birmingham is seeking an experienced quality leader to enhance their quality assurance framework. We are seeking an experienced quality leader to oversee and enhance the quality assurance and control framework at a key operational site. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all site activities align with broader organizational quality objectives and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison for quality matters, both internally and externally, and will drive a culture of continuous improvement across all departments.
Serve as the site’s principal authority on quality systems and compliance.
Lead the implementation of quality strategies in alignment with global and regional directives.
Collaborate cross-functionally to embed quality ownership throughout the organization.
Maintain and evolve the site’s quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001 and integrated environmental and safety standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
Oversee product quality control operations, including laboratory and data functions.
Monitor and respond to customer feedback and internal quality issues, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
Coordinate and support internal audit activities; manage the internal audit team and ensure audit readiness.
Evaluate and respond to supplier corrective actions and customer complaints.
Partner with procurement to assess and audit supplier quality performance.
Track and report key performance indicators, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
Introduce and champion modern quality engineering and improvement methodologies.
Measurable improvements in quality KPIs and interdepartmental collaboration.
Sustained reduction in non‑conformances and customer complaints.
Positive feedback from internal teams and external partners.
Effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Continued certification and compliance with relevant quality standards.
Demonstrated growth in organizational quality maturity and mindset.
Directly manages the site’s quality control function, including laboratory and data personnel.
Provides guidance and oversight to ensure high performance and compliance within the team.
Strong organizational and time management skills, balancing immediate needs with strategic initiatives.
