Job Title

Quality Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking three dedicated Quality Inspectors to join our team on the weekend shift at a leading aerospace company. The positions available are on the 1st Shift Continental from 5 am to 5 pm Friday through Sunday with a 10% differential, and the 3rd Shift Continental from 5 pm to 5 am Friday through Sunday with a 25% differential. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of aerospace components, including frame hubs for F135 jets and split cases for the navy.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect large aerospace components using precise measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and swing gauges.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, operational sheets, and machinery limitations to assess product quality.
  • Use metrology tools including shadowgraphs and bore gauges to conduct thorough inspections.
  • Operate CMM machines and perform visual inspections to maintain quality control standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to lift heavy parts using a hoist, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, understanding, and speaking English at a functional level.
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office and other relevant programs.
  • Experience using measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor, and lift at least 35 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with shadowgraphs and molds is a significant advantage.
  • Experience in layout inspection, GD&T, and blueprint reading is beneficial but training will be provided if needed.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment.
