Working as a project leader, the Project Manager will be responsible for all areas of the project.
Job Description
The Project Manager shall:
- Manage site operations.
- Have overall management responsibility for all contracts under their control.
- Arrange and chair project handover meetings between the estimating team and operational team.
- Lead the project delivery team.
- Prepare progress reports, including discussing progress with supply chain partners relevant to the project.
- Coordinate trades, materials, and deliveries to project requirements.
- Ensure all works are planned and carried out safely on site.
- Maintain and issue site records in a timely manner to the GRAHAM SHE team.
- Be responsible for all plant on contracts under their control.
- Report regularly on all aspects of contracts to the Senior Contracts Manager/Contracts Directors.
- Manage project commercial requirements to achieve set targets.
- Ensure close liaison with the GRAHAM commercial team to manage project performance.
- Manage change, record variations, and communicate to the GRAHAM team.
- Assist with the development of the supply chain.
- Lead supply chain interviews for pre-work package appointments.
- Approve work packages prior to appointment.
- Hold subcontractor pre-start meetings discussing project, IT requirements, and expectations.
- Conduct weekly subcontractor performance review meetings.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety best practices.
- Manage all SHE aspects on projects under their control.
- Liaise with the client's team on project start-up, feedback, and project handover.
- Manage and develop staff under their control, assisting in recruitment as needed.
- Participate in senior management discussions on departmental development.
- Keep up to date with legislative changes and apply them accordingly.
- Assist in adjudication of tender submissions.
- Complete KPIs and project reviews.
- Upload project information weekly to GKS.
- Demonstrate sound industry knowledge, including commercial and programme backgrounds.
- Show previous experience in a senior role, with strong communication skills, team management, and resource delivery capabilities.
- Manage multiple workloads, work in a client-focused environment, and negotiate at a senior level.
- Be flexible to work and travel across the UK on short-term projects.
- Hold a clean driving license.
- Possess strong commercial awareness, effective communication, customer focus, influencing skills, initiative, teamwork, adaptability, and a commitment to the company's objectives.
