Job description

At Synexus, we're helping advertisers rethink how they show up in the news ecosystem. After a successful investment round, we are now in the process of launching a new brand and product to the Ad tech market.

Today, blunt keyword blocking causes brands to avoid entire news sites — even when the content is high-quality, balanced, and aligned with their values. It's like tossing out a whole basket of fruit just because one apple has a bruise.

Our technology changes that. Instead of just scanning keywords, Synexus analyzes how topics are being discussed. This allows advertisers to safely reintroduce premium journalism into their media plans — driving better reach, performance, and efficiency without added risk.

At Synexus, you’ll be surrounded by people who want to improve everything and support everyone around them. Our team is passionate about our mission, are experts in their fields and are collaborative problem solvers.

We model the following behaviors across the organisation:

  • Positivity - We approach challenges with optimism, realism, and a focus on progress.
  • Respect - We create an environment where everyone feels heard, valued, and safe to contribute.
  • Accountability - We take responsibility, keep our commitments, and support each other in delivering results.
  • Outcomes Focus - We prioritise impact over process, keeping customers, employees, and shareholders at the heart of what we do.

We’re looking for a Product Manager to lead the development, enhancement, and success of Synexus’ data-driven products and services. This role bridges strategic insight with operational execution — translating company goals into product vision and roadmap priorities.

The Product Manager will oversee our Intel Analysts/Product Owners, collaborating closely with the C-suite to identify areas for improvement in existing products, shape new offerings that align with Synexus’ goals, and ensure effective coordination with the Data Team to support technical implementation.

The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor, user empathy, and technical fluency. They’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, driving cross-functional alignment, and delivering measurable impact in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Closely support the Chief Business and Revenue Officers in their roles securing new business and delivering to existing customers.
  • Translate company strategy into actionable product initiatives with clear success metrics.
  • Ensure product decisions are informed by data, research, and user feedback.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product adoption, impact, and efficiency.
  • Support go-to-market strategies, documentation, and training for internal and external users. Monitor performance post-launch and iterate based on insights and feedback.
  • Manage the Intel Analysts/Product Owners, guiding prioritization, planned work refinement, and stakeholder communication. Provide structure, feedback, and support to ensure the team delivers high-quality insights and product updates on schedule.
  • Lead sprint and release planning in coordination with Product Owners and the Data Team. Ensure planned work is well-defined, prioritized, and scoped for delivery. Drive cross-team communication and resolve blockers proactively.
  • Accountable for overall product quality (and value delivery), ensuring that user, business, and compliance needs are met through clear acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with the Data Team to ensure technical feasibility, clarity in requirements, and timely delivery of data-driven components. Collaborate with engineering, data science, and external stakeholders to align technical capabilities with product needs.
Essential Experience and Behaviours
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or a related role (e.g., technical program management, data product management) in ad tech or media.
  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex, data-centric products.
  • Proven experience managing and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on mentorship, clear communication, and professional growth.
  • Successful track record of hiring, onboarding, and retaining talented team members who contribute to a strong team culture.
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams (data science, engineering) and translating business goals into technical requirements.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and planned work management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — able to synthesize complex information for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-informed mindset.
  • Attention to detail and execution excellence.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, globally-distributed organization.
Desirable Experience and Behaviours
  • Experience working in information integrity or data intelligence sectors.
  • Experience working as part of a remote/virtual team.
  • Professional fluency in languages other than English.
  • Experience managing concurrent projects across countries and time zones.
  • Comfortable working in rapid response or breaking news scenarios.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary and options
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits (US-based team only)
  • Flexible working hours and remote options. Full-time, 1.0 FTE (37.5 hours per week)
  • As a global organization, some flexibility for cross-time zone communication to be available for limited virtual meetings outside of office hours is required.
  • Professional development opportunities

£65,000 - £75,000 a year
