Commercial Strategy Alignment
- Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Customer Support and Customer Care teams to ensure product development and launch plans align with overall business strategy and market needs
- Develop and execute strategies for creating demand and ensuring customer success
- Drive go-to-market readiness, including product positioning, pricing strategy, sales enablement, and customer support planning
- Foster a culture of collaboration across Product Management and the Commercial Teams
Commercialization Process Establishment
- Design and formalize a best-in-class Commercialization Process, detailing deliverables, steps, and timing in relation to NPI development and launch targets, encompassing launch planning, launch execution and commercial activities/monitoring post launch
- Through interaction with key stakeholders develop/refine templates for key deliverables including business case, value proposition, VOC plans, market penetration plan, etc.
- Continue to iterate and enhance through launch learnings
- Champion the Commercialization Process; educating stakeholders and requiring adherence
Program Oversight & Governance
- Coordinate launch planning and execution activities across teams in accordance with the Commercialization Process. Represent the launch planning workstream on the NPI Core Team
- Manage multiple launch programs and workstreams with minimal oversight
- Understand and action escalation pathways when warranted
- Uphold the Global Product Development process. Identify and action areas for process improvement
Stakeholder & Communication Management
- Serve as a neutral facilitator between R&D/NPI and the Commercial teams
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, ensuring clear, consistent, and timely communication across global teams
- Support visibility to broader company initiatives and ensure alignment
- Foster a collaborative and communicative environment to facilitate successful project outcomes
- Communicate project progress, updates, and challenges effectively to all stakeholders
- Conduct regular status meetings and prepare reports for project sponsors and executive leadership
Execution & Delivery
- Translate commercial goals into actionable project objectives. Develop project plans outlining scope, timeline, milestones, and resource requirements for launch related activities and customer success. Interface with the NPI Project Manager to ensure key deliverables are in line with the overall NPI delivery plan
- Ensure consistent commercial readiness across regions and product lines
- Adapt approaches for complex organizational structures and global roles
Risk Management
- Actively manage commercial risk. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery
- Proactively address issues as they arise, keeping the project on track and within scope
- Escalate critical risks and roadblocks to leadership with recommended mitigation strategies and decision paths
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
- 3–5 years of project management experience in commercial or product launch settings
- Demonstrated ability to work across global teams
- Experience launching or managing multi-product portfolios (instruments, software, consumables, services)
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally in matrixed environments
Preferred Characteristics
- Experience with analytical instrumentation
- Strong commercial acumen, particularly in strategies for creating demand and ensuring customer success
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and take ownership of projects, performing job requirements with minimal oversight
- Exhibits an assertive personality with a strong bias for action and results; tackles tough problems with firm deadlines
- Ability to manage ambiguity and operate with lightly defined scopes
- Understanding of commercial analytics and sales funnel metrics
- PMP or equivalent certification
