As a Band 5 A&E Nurse at Royal Free, you will work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, providing constant monitoring and care for patients in seriously ill or unstable conditions. Your clinical knowledge and experience will allow you to support seriously ill patients and their families during stressful and uncertain situations. Key responsibilities include:

• Taking blood samples
• Undertaking patient observations (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration rate, and oxygen levels)
• Providing reassurance and guidance to patients
• Handling emergency admissions and triage cases

As a Band 5 A&E Nurse with Royal Free, you will:

• Provide constant monitoring and care for patients in seriously ill or unstable conditions.
• Support emergency admissions and their families, ensuring effective communication of clinical information.
• Assess and prioritise patient requirements, delegating effectively.
• Recognise, review, and report changes in patient conditions to senior medical staff.
• Adhere to the NMC professional Code of Conduct.
• Take blood samples, fit cannulas, and conduct patient observations.
• Treat resuscitation patients and manage triage cases.

Essential:

• Registered Nurse (NMC registration required)
• At least 2 years post-graduate experience
• 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years
• Enhanced background check clearance
