Job Description
Partnered with UR Medicine Complex Care Center, providing specialized care for patients with Sickle Cell Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, and complex health conditions. Provides professional nursing services, leadership of nursing staff, leadership within the organization, and management of operational processes to serve patients and their families and/or serve the nursing department. Collaborates with other health care providers and health care team members to achieve expected patient and organization outcomes. Work efforts are focused on improvement of the care environment. Nurse leaders and managers use the nursing process, appropriate leadership and management theory and practices, and evidence based nursing practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support care. All positions listed perform their role within five (5) core performance domains:
Level IV Assistant Nurse Manager:
The Assistant Nurse Manager is accountable for supporting standards of care and providing consultation and expertise in the delivery of patient care. The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is involved in activities at the unit, service, nursing department, and institutional level. The ANM contributes to goal achievement through personal action and the facilitation of others. He/she participates in community and professional organizations, demonstrating commitment to the promotion of nursing's visibility and future. The ANM provides expert patient care, serves as a resource, consults as requested, and role models communication effectively in all situations. He/she also participates in the management of human resources, the development and evaluation of recruitment and retention strategies, and the monitoring of patient and operational outcomes. The focus of the ANM responsibilities reflects the expectations for appointment at unit, program, or service level. The ANM assumes expanded functional roles within the nursing unit as assigned by the Nurse Manager to include, but not limited to: Education, Orientation, Precepting, Quality Management and Improvement, Business Operations, Safety, Standards Development and Recruitment and Retention efforts. The Level IV ANM may assume an expanded unit role as available and assigned by Nurse Manager.
PAY RANGE: $94,130.40 - $124,373.65
3-5 years recent RN expertise in an acute care setting.
BS in Nursing preferred.
Licensed by New York State to practice as a Registered Nurse.
Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare providers preferred).
