A leading audit recovery firm in Manchester is seeking an enthusiastic Technical Data Analyst for a one-year placement. This role offers the opportunity to work with big data, gain exposure to tools such as SQL Server and Power BI, while also building relationships with major retail clients. Candidates must be enrolled in a Computer Science or similar degree. The position includes a competitive salary of £18,000, 25 days of holiday, and benefits like private health insurance and gym discounts.
This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic student to join us as a Technical Data Analyst to work in an exciting role within our business for a one-year placement year. The successful applicant will need to be enrolled in a Computer Science/Maths or similar numerate degree subject that offers you the opportunity to take a placement year. You will join the Data Services Team and receive mentoring and coaching from our expert team as we look to help develop you within the role and for your future career.
The position is integral within the organisation and plays a key role in supporting the Operations team achieve their objectives. You will also liaise our external clients who are all leading retail brands, so this is a great opportunity to gain exposure to not only how the operation works, but also understand the relationship with large well known external clients.
As a Data Analyst, your role will involve working with big data sets and completing challenging ETL tasks as well as scripting and designing/developing process changes. One of the key aspects of this role will be relationship building with stakeholders and designing solutions on how best you can support them with each bespoke query.
You will gain great exposure to a number of data handling tools: Server, SSMS, SSIS & Trino; data visualisation tools: Power BI, SSRS & Excel; and languages such as Python and VBA. You will also have the opportunity to work with renowned ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle as well as Data Warehouses like Teradata and Snowflake.
Whilst no specific technical experience is required, it is advantageous.
The position is based in our Manchester office where you will be working with a number of other student placements from different departments across the business. You'll be part of the exciting placement programme which allows you to be part of other projects within PRGX such as the Social Committee or Corporate Social Responsibility Team. Should you be successful within your role, there may be the opportunity to join on a permanent basis following completion on your University Degree.
