A leading supplier of industrial engineering products is seeking an Area Sales Manager to develop new business opportunities and manage key accounts across the M62 corridor. The ideal candidate will have sales experience in mechanical engineering and be able to provide technical assistance and support to customers. Skills
Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager required to join a leading supplier of industrial engineering products and systems.
The successful candidate will focus on developing new business opportunities and managing key accounts for industrial engineering products and systems such as bearings, mechanical power transmission, fluid power, valves, pumps, filtration, motors, gearboxes and more across the M62 corridor.
- Develop new business opportunities and manage key accounts in the Central Belt of Scotland.
- Maintain mechanical engineering product and system sales through demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation to achieve targets.
- Provide pre‑sales technical assistance and end‑solution/application support for all customer needs.
- Offer after‑sales support services and technical backup to customers in industries such as manufacturing, food & beverage, power generation, defence, etc.
- Work remotely/ field‑based covering the M62 Corridor with regular visits to customer sites.
- Liaise with various engineering departments.
- Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, or similar within a mechanical engineering environment.
- Experience selling industrial/mechanical engineering products or systems such as bearings, motors, fluid power, valves, power transmission, tooling, etc.
- Proven mechanical engineering sales experience in manufacturing, food & beverage, power generation, defence advised.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Willingness to operate remotely with travel to customer sites across the M62 corridor.
