An excellent opportunity in the Finance Directorate has arisen for a Deputy Business Advisor. This vital role is responsible for providing a comprehensive and high-quality financial and business support service to the Trust’s Corporate, Estates & Facilities and Digital Divisions. The post holder will provide expert financial advice and guidance to a range of senior managers within the Divisions while maintaining a thorough understanding of the financial position. You will work closely with the leadership teams across the divisions to ensure the consistent achievement of financial performance and outcome targets that support the delivery of high quality patient care.
Holding relevant accountancy qualifications, you will be proficient in the use of a wide range of IT systems including a financial ledger. You will also be able to work with non-finance staff to present complex financial information in ways which will ensure engagement and understanding.

The range of duties outlined above is not exhaustive and is subject to modification in light of changing service needs. In addition to the above the postholder may be required to undertake other duties which fall within the grade of the job, in discussion with the manager.
General Duties:
Support the Business Advisor (Corporate / E&F / Digital) in providing robust financial planning and reporting service to a Division including financial forecasting and risk assessment.
Provide expert financial advice and training to a range of managers and clinicians within the division.
Support the Business Advisor (Corporate / E&F / Digital) in providing business management support to enhance decision making within the division.
Be an active member of multi-disciplinary teams contributing to the management of the Division and Service lines.
Manage a small team of staff ensuring regular appraisal and development opportunities.
Be an active member of the Finance Directorate contributing to its development.
Deputise for the Business Advisor in their absence.
