Job summary
A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has over 2 years of post-qualified experience, preferably within the insurance sector, and possesses strong analytical and leadership skills. Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years post-qualified experience in finance.
- Strong background in insurance accounting preferred.
- Proven expertise in financial statements and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements per accounting principles.
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis for management.
- Lead finance team to achieve objectives.
- Implement financial accounting systems and controls.
Skills
- Responsible for the preparation of financial statements according to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements and financial disclosure obligations.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making by the senior management.
- Lead and supervise the finance team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Implement and monitor effective financial accounting systems and controls to safeguard company assets.
- 2+ Years Post Qualified experience (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Insurance experience is preferred (Audit or Industry)
- Proven expertise in General Accepted Accounting Principles and statutory reporting.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing finance teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
