A dynamic and growing accountancy practice is seeking a Senior or Assistant Accountant to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or fully qualified accountant to take on a role that combines accounts preparation, client interaction, and team leadership.

The successful candidate will work closely with directors and client managers, often leading projects and onsite audit/accounts work, while developing a strong, practical understanding of accounting, tax, and advisory issues. This is a role for someone motivated, professional, and keen to grow within a supportive and proactive working environment.

Role Responsibilities
  • Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Drafting personal and company tax returns, including supporting documentation, planning, and advisory work.
  • Management accounts, VAT returns, and financial reporting.
  • Liaising directly with clients, understanding their business, accounting systems, and processes to provide guidance and advice.
  • Leading or supporting client projects, including onsite audits and accounts work.
  • Reviewing, managing, and mentoring junior staff, ensuring work is prepared accurately for director review.
  • Supporting client managers and directors in delivering advisory services and business solutions.
  • Handling client queries professionally and proactively.
Personal Requirements
  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant with a minimum of three years' relevant experience in practice.
