Join a Collaborative Legal Team Driving Positive Change
We are looking for a motivated and collaborative individual to join our Legal team in a dynamic and wide-ranging role. You will support a broad spectrum of legal matters, including commercial contracts and providing general legal advice to various business areas covering regulatory frameworks such as data protection, consumer law, mortgages, banking, and payment services.
You will also play a key role in helping the organization adapt to regulatory changes and contribute to managing legal risks. Support and supervision will be available where needed, providing a great opportunity to grow your legal expertise.
Additionally, you will assist with the day-to-day running of the Legal function, including managing legal panels, fees, and overseeing the wider budget.

Here’s a taste of what you will be doing as a Senior Commercial Paralegal at Nottingham Building Society:
Commercial Contract Support: Draft, review, and negotiate agreements such as supplier contracts, service level agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and software licenses, with supervision provided where needed.
Strategic Project Involvement: Support on projects including outsourcing, operational resilience, securitizations, and strategic partnerships.
Regulatory Awareness: Monitor and interpret legal and regulatory changes to help the organization remain compliant.
Legal Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks, support risk events, contribute to risk reporting, and help keep processes up to date.
This role suits a proactive candidate with prior experience as a paralegal or legal executive, ideally within financial services, who wants to work for a Top 10 building society committed to helping members own their homes.
