A leading Bristol law firm is seeking a Solicitor to join its Energy team, working closely with the Head of Energy. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth and success of a key practice area, advising a diverse range of clients across the energy sector.
You will work on a broad spectrum of energy-related legal matters, including solar, wind, battery storage, hydrogen, nuclear and heat networks. The role would suit an experienced lawyer who enjoys complex, high-quality work within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Support the Head of Energy in delivering the firm’s strategy for the Energy sector, ensuring excellent client service and contributing to ongoing growth and innovation.
Advise clients on a wide range of energy-related matters, working on both transactional and advisory mandates.
Manage your own caseload of complex matters, with appropriate supervision or autonomy depending on experience.
Assist in developing client relationships, maintaining regular contact and identifying opportunities to add value.
Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas including corporate, real estate, litigation, and employment to provide comprehensive support to clients.
Contribute to business development initiatives, thought leadership, and industry engagement to strengthen the firm’s market presence in the energy sector.
Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with around 4–10 years’ PQE, ideally gained within an energy or projects practice.
Solid understanding of energy-related legal work, with experience in one or more of real estate projects, corporate, commercial, or regulatory matters.
Strong commercial awareness and a practical, solution-focused approach.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with a collaborative working style.
A proactive and innovative mindset, with an interest in the evolving energy market and a desire to develop your career in this field.
