Legal Counsel (Technology)

We are hiring a Legal Counsel who is proactive and detail‑focused to support our expanding team. The ideal candidate will possess hands‑on experience in overseeing the complete lifecycle of commercial contracts, intellectual property management, and corporate compliance and regulatory matters. This position presents an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a fast‑paced, innovation‑led technology start‑up.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide legal guidance to senior management and cross‑functional teams on a wide range of matters, including commercial contracts, intellectual property, and corporate governance.
  • Respond to legal queries from the business development, operations, and other internal teams, providing prompt and practical legal solutions.
  • Oversee the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights and patents, while managing all filings, registrations, and enforcement actions. Draft, review, and negotiate various legal agreements such as NDAs, sales agreements, licensing arrangements, vendor and service contracts, and partnership agreements.
  • Provide counsel on legal and compliance risks, such as data protection and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external legal advisors and government agencies where necessary. Update the company on changes in laws and regulations affecting the tech sector as it relates to the business of the company.
  • Contribute to developing and implementing internal policies and templates to improve legal and compliance efficiency across the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
  • Min 3 years of legal experience with practical exposure to intellectual property and compliance matters, ideally within the tech sector.
  • Prior exposure to industries such as AI infrastructure or data center operations will be an advantage.
  • In‑depth understanding of corporate, commercial, and IP law.
  • Solid experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, especially in technology industry. Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
