Job summary
A leading talent management firm is seeking an experienced commercial payments lawyer to join their team, working remotely. The role entails advising on various commercial and compliance issues related to the payments sector. Responsibilities include drafting agreements and collaborating with internal teams on product development. This initial six-month position may lead to a permanent role, offering a unique opportunity for professionals with a background in tech and payments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial payments law, preferably in tech sectors.
- Ability to draft and negotiate various legal agreements.
- Strong collaboration skills with internal teams across departments.
Responsibilities
- Advise on commercial and compliance issues related to payments.
- Draft and negotiate agreements with partners.
- Collaborate on product development for global payment solutions.
- Establish legal review processes for new features.
Skills
We are looking for an experienced commercial payments lawyer ( if you come from a social media, gaming, digital space this could be a great match ) who will be interested in joining a leading tech company this January. This will be for a six month duration to begin with (likely to be in contention for a permanent role after).
Additional responsibilities include :
- Advise on a range of issues including commercial, consumer protection, KYC, risk assessment / compliance and data privacy related to the payments businesses worldwide;
- Structure, draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements with various partners;
- Actively collaborate with a wide variety of internal stakeholders, including product, engineering, compliance, marketing, business development, risk on a range of issues related to product development and commercialization of global payment projects and services;
- Help build scalable and effective processes for legal review and launch of new features and products;
