A financial services company is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel experienced in commercial law and the payments sector. The role involves drafting and negotiating contracts, providing legal support across multiple business functions, and managing company secretarial matters. Must have a minimum of 4 years PQE. This position is fully remote.

Senior Legal Counsel
Fully remote
The Duties:
• Commercial, IT, regulatory and other legal developments (e.g. GDPR, PSD3 etc), identifying those which impact directly on the business and facilitating or taking the appropriate action to resolve issues
• creating and updating standard contracts, T&Cs, internal policies, systems and controls
• Drafting/negotiation of contracts (e.g. processing, partner, collaboration/joint venture, BIN sponsorship, gateway services and employee arrangements)
• Company Secretarial matters including managing the Group structure, Board meetings and minutes, statutory filings etc.
• Managing any litigation for the Group
• Managing the IP, domains and trademark registrations of the Group
The requirements
• Minimum 4 years PQE experience.
• General commercial law experience in an in-house role.
• Background in the payments / financial services sector
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements.
• A fast, self-driven learner who can gain and maintain knowledge with complex products, solutions and legal frameworks
• Ability to work across the business to support multiple business functions.
• Managing company secretarial processes and matters
• Solutions orientated with excellent time management, planning and organisational skill.
