Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking a Management Accountant in Inverness. You will produce monthly accounts, manage reconciliations, and support staff training. Ideal candidates are qualified or working towards an accounting qualification and possess strong analytical and communication skills. The position offers a hybrid work model and a salary range of approximately £40,000 to £42,000.

- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.

Role: Management Accountant
Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time, Monday – Friday (Hybrid available approx. 1 day per week)
Location: Inverness
Salary: £40,000 - 42,000 approx (depending on experience/qualifications)
- Production of Monthly Management Accounts and all related reports within agreed deadlines.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Identifying and reporting/resolving variances.
- Support the training of staff including review of work.
- Maintain effective lines of communication are maintained.
- Provide commentary regarding Management Accounting issues.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
- Work closely in support of the Financial Controller, carrying out additional project accounting and reporting tasks.
- Qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification (qualified by experience also considered).
- Experience of management accounts preparation and reporting.
- Ability to identify and resolve variances and issues.
- Well organised and able to manage a busy and varied workload, working to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent IT skills including financial software systems.
