Job summary

Qualifications

• AAT or equivalent qualification or experience in practice is required.
• Experience preparing accounts and tax returns in an accountancy environment is preferred.
• Understanding of bookkeeping and VAT processes.

Responsibilities

TPF Recruitment is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant / Semi Senior to join a highly reputable firm of chartered certified accountants based in Herne Bay. Our client is looking for an experienced accountancy practice Accounts Assistant / Semi-Senior accountant to join their dynamic team and to assist in their ever-growing workload. The successful candidate will be required to complete end to end accounting tasks for a range of sole traders, ltd companies and partnerships across accounts, tax, bookkeeping and VAT.

Responsibilities

• Assist Management in the preparation of accounts (sole trader, partnership and limited company accounts)
• Assist in the preparation of corporate and income tax computations
• Undertake ad hoc work as requested by management
• Liaise with clients as necessary

Requirements

• You will be studying AAT or AAT qualified or qualified by experience with some experience within practice.
• Experience of Iris, Sage or Xero would be advantageous but isn't a prerequisite.
• You may have experience of preparing accounts and tax returns in an accountancy practice environment.
• Full time or part time candidates will be considered.

Benefits

£25,000 - £32,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
