Our client, a public sector Constabulary, is looking for an ICT Core Systems Service Manager to join on a permanent basis.

1. Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) and decision maker for Records Management System (RMS), leading the User Group. This pivotal role will ensure a unified approach to changing functionality across the three integrated systems.
2. Represent the client at national, regional, and local meetings to facilitate the development of RMS.
3. Collaborate with Minerva delivery teams to align organizational goals and maximize RMS benefits, transforming how the forces work together, share information, and realize efficiencies.
4. Engage with specialist RMS system owner meetings to evolve and develop the force relationship around product development.
5. Coordinate developments within RMS to ensure it remains updated and fully supportive of operational modes, including holistic management across related systems, maintaining interface parity.
6. Optimize performance and manage changes effectively by overseeing, monitoring, and addressing development and change requirements within RMS and associated systems. Ensure integration between local and national interfaces, especially for forces involved in the South West Collaboration.
7. Prioritize development efforts and work with stakeholders to maximize opportunities.
8. Support the RMS service team in resolving issues through problem-solving, enhance functionality to meet local and APP objectives, and support policing activities.

1. Identify and resolve application issues following agreed procedures, using management software to collect performance data, and carry out maintenance tasks.
2. Apply ethical and robust techniques in data transformation, adhering to organisational policies and managing information risks.
3. Define and manage scoping, requirements, and prioritization activities for small-scale changes, assisting with complex initiatives. Follow standards, elicit and document requirements, challenge stakeholders constructively, and manage change requests.
4. Review requirements and specifications, define test conditions, design test cases, and report outcomes. Analyze test results, report issues and risks related to work.

1. Desirable: Experience with RMS (Niche), Pronto, and CAD systems.
2. Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
3. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
4. Stakeholder and customer engagement experience.
5. Proven ability to manage complex workloads and performance delivery.
6. Awareness of GDPR, Data Protection, and cybersecurity principles.
