Job summary
A leading IT services provider is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to enhance their internal IT infrastructure. This role focuses on designing, maintaining, and optimizing various systems, ensuring high performance and security standards are met. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Windows Server, networking, and virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V, along with familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
Qualifications
- Experience in IT infrastructure or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and networking.
- Experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualisation.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain servers, storage, networks, and virtualisation platforms.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively resolve issues.
- Manage backups, disaster recovery, and patching of Windows environments.
Skills
We are searching for an Infrastructure Engineer who will be crucial in delivering high-quality internal IT infrastructure. This role involves designing, maintaining, and optimising systems, networks, and platforms that support internal operations, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain servers, storage, networks, and virtualisation platforms
- Monitor infrastructure performance and resolve issues proactively
- Manage backups, disaster recovery, and patching of Windows environments
- Oversee LAN/WAN/VPN, firewalls, switches, and routers
- Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and email systems
- Support user devices, software, and permissions
- Experience in IT infrastructure or systems administration
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and networking
- Experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualisation
- Familiarity with Office 365 and hybrid cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
