Job description

As an Infrastructure Engineer you will work in our Engineering team and be responsible for commissioning new hardware and software for our client projects, and supporting hardware and software for our client's ongoing services.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of the procurement of new hardware for sale to clients
  • Source and evaluate new hardware items
  • Maintain effective working relationships with hardware suppliers
  • Maintain knowledge of EPoS hardware market trends and developments
  • Work with the Attraction Management Specialist team to prepare demonstration equipment for clients and
  • Commissioning new hardware including physical and cloud based servers, EPOS systems and card terminals
  • Commissioning infrastructure software such as Windows and SQL Server
  • Creating Gold Builds of our custom software for deployment to clients
  • Providing ongoing maintenance and support of hardware, infrastructure software
  • Contribute to second line support of our bespoke applications as needed

Requirements

In general the employee will be expected to operate at SFIA Level 3, and be capable of demonstrating a wide range of skills and behaviours. Critical skills in this role are: (all at SFIA Level 3 except where mentioned)

  • Asset Management (ASMG)
  • Configuration Management (CFMG)
  • Hardware Design (HWDE)
  • Security Operations (SCAD)

The Infrastructure Engineer will be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of:

  • Purpose and function of EPoS equipment and related peripherals;
  • Server build, configuration and management;
