Job Role: Building Safety Case Manager

Location: Field based, travel required - Leeds, London, Brighton, Leicester, and London

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Main Purpose of Job

The Building Safety Manager oversees and ensures the safety and compliance of all systems, structures, and operations within a portfolio of high-rise buildings. This role involves maintaining the building safety case, monitoring safety protocols, conducting inspections, auditing documentation, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and evolving legislation.

Position in Organisation

This role reports to the Building Safety Operations Manager.

Main Responsibilities

1. Manage all aspects of the Building Safety Case, including maintaining detailed records of incidents, inspections, and actions.
2. Review and challenge content of key building safety documents.
3. Perform periodic document audits.
4. Conduct regular building inspections to ensure adherence to regulations and policies.
5. Interface with the Regulator, providing feedback and required information.
6. Prepare and submit documentation to the Regulator as needed.
7. Manage finance and procurement related to building safety.
8. Report regularly to the client on building status and compliance.
9. Stay updated on current building safety legislation in England and Wales.

Experience

• Leasehold experience
• Strong understanding of building safety legislation
• Experience in property management, asset management, health and safety, or related fields
• IRPM / NEBOSH or similar qualification is desirable

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in reporting tools, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Full UK driving license
