1st Step Solutions are supporting a Mechanical & Electrical contractor who has an opportunity for a working Electrical Foreman. Our client delivers high quality electrical solutions across commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.
The Electrical Foreman will oversee and coordinate electrical installation work on-site, ensuring all tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. This role is hands‑on and supervisory, requiring strong leadership skills and technical expertise.
- Supervise and lead a team.
- Interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
- Coordinate day‑to‑day operations, ensuring workflow efficiency.
- Liaise with site managers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with current electrical regulations (e.g., BS7671).
- Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions, and risk assessments.
- Order and manage materials and tools as needed.
- Monitor work progress against project timelines and budgets.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- ECS/CSCS Card (Gold or equivalent).
- Testing & Inspection (2391 or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a site supervisor or foreman in electrical installation.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety practices.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
