We’re looking for a skilled and adaptable Multiskilled Carpentry Repairs Technician to join our Property Services team. This mobile role covers our housing portfolio across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding counties.
You’ll carry out day-to-day repairs and maintenance to a high standard, with expertise in at least three trades, carpentry and plumbing being the primary focus. You’ll work independently, ensuring first‑time fixes wherever possible, and maintain excellent customer care throughout.
You’ll be based out of our Head Office in Wooburn Green for toolbox talks and briefings, and our Chesham depot for equipment, property packs and keys.
Complete maintenance tasks across multiple trades
Ensure all work meets regulatory and safety standards
Communicate effectively with tenants and colleagues
Maintain van stock and use materials responsibly
Manage documentation and update job records accurately
Support apprentices or junior staff when required
Participate in the out‑of‑hours on‑call rota
Relevant qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ) or equivalent experience
Strong skills in carpentry and plumbing, plus additional trade experience
Good understanding of building regulations and health & safety requirements
Excellent communication and time management skills
Full valid driving licence
Commitment to delivering outstanding service to residents
Experience supporting apprentices or junior staff
Familiarity with mobile working and digital job tracking
Confidence working independently across a mobile patch
Passion for maintaining homes to the highest standards
Experience working in social housing/local authority.
