As Managing Director, you will lead the business through its next phase of strategic growth and operational excellence. You will take full responsibility for commercial and financial performance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.

• Define and deliver the company's strategic and commercial objectives in collaboration with the Board
• Lead and develop the management team to achieve growth and performance targets
• Drive profitability through cost control, process optimisation, and market expansion
• Oversee operational functions including fabrication, production, supply chain, and quality
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Promote continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles
• Champion a hands‑on, accountable, and performance‑driven culture

You will be a commercially focused and operationally strong leader with extensive experience in metal manufacturing or engineering. You combine strategic thinking with practical management and thrive in a dynamic SME environment.

• Proven success as a Managing Director, General Manager, or Senior Operations Leader
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering growth and profitability
• In‑depth knowledge of metal manufacturing, fabrication, or structural steelwork
• Experience implementing continuous improvement and lean practices
• Excellent people management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced SME environment

• Experience in utilities, renewables, security, or infrastructure sectors
• Knowledge of relevant compliance and quality standards (e.g., CE marking, ISO)
• Engineering or technical background
