Job summary
A healthcare provider in Cardigan is seeking Porters to join their dedicated team. This role involves transferring patients, managing waste, and general cleaning duties. Successful candidates must be flexible for shift changes, able to work weekends and bank holidays, and possess a basic understanding of health and safety protocols. Training will be provided, and the ability to speak Welsh is desirable. This position plays a vital role in maintaining hygiene and safety standards within the healthcare environment.

Hotel Services are currently looking to recruit an individual who would like to join a busy and committed department in providing portering and cleaning services to cover all areas in this busy unit. The successful candidates will play an integral role within the organisation.
We are seeking to appoint Porters to join our well established team. This will mean being available to work Monday to Friday, and having flexibility to alter shifts if necessary to support the needs of the service. There will be a requirement to work weekends and bank holidays.
Duties will be varied, including patient transfers between car park and clinics, waste handling, responding to health safety and security concerns, distribution of mail, and furniture moves. There will also be a requirement to check clean sanitary areas, empty bins and other cleaning tasks.
The successful candidates will have full training when they start, and this will include Moving and Handling, Fire Training and training in methods of restraint.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.

- 47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices); dental practices (including four orthodontic); 97 community pharmacies; 43 general ophthalmic practices; and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers
