A major healthcare institution in Liverpool is seeking a Porter to assist in the smooth operation of patient transport services. This role requires good verbal and written communication skills, an understanding of health and safety issues, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently. Successful candidates will assist with the delivery of meals, collection of waste, and transport of medical gases. NVQ2 or equivalent is essential. The position will be located onsite at Aintree site, offering a vital service in our healthcare environment.

The role of a Porter is instrumental to the smooth running of the Hospital, you will move patients, deliver patient meals and manage safe movement of other medical equipment. Porters should have the ability to work quickly and calmly in emergencies, have good interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and empathise, be patient and tolerant, a good physical fitness and have the ability follow instructions and work to tight time constraints.
You will be responsible for supporting service improvements and encouraging the delivery of high productivity; supported by excellent customer care.
You will be able to work on your own initiative and under direction, whilst maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times. The ability to prioritise your own workload and multi-task, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
In this role you will be required to provide a customer focused Porter service.
