Job summary
A local education authority in Halifax is seeking a dedicated Food Technology and Culture & Belief Teacher to join The Whitley AP Academy. The position requires teaching a range of subjects, particularly Food Technology, and collaboration with staff to enhance educational provision. Competitive salary and a full-time fixed-term contract until July 2026 are offered.
Qualifications
- Experience teaching Food Technology.
- Experience with BTEC Hospitality & Tourism and Religious Education is advantageous.
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Teach a range of subjects in the Academy.
- Participate in research projects to improve education quality.
- Involve in the coaching programme for staff.
Skills
Food Technology and Culture & Belief Teacher - The Whitley AP Academy. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to carry out the professional duties of a teacher, delivering lessons in a range of subjects to suit applicants’ strengths. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to continually strive to improve provision at the Academy.
- Teach a range of subjects in the Academy; experience of teaching Food Technology, BTEC Hospitality & Tourism and Religious Education would be beneficial.
- Take part in research projects to improve the quality of education, and participate in the coaching programme for all staff.
- Experience teaching Food Technology; experience with BTEC Hospitality & Tourism and Religious Education is advantageous.
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
Location: Halifax
Salary: £32,916.00 - £51,048.00 annually (Actual), MPS/UPS Plus SEN Point £2,787
Contract: Full-Time, Fixed Term Maternity Cover from January 2026 until 17 July 2026 or return of postholder
