QA Engineer - Fintech
Job summary
A leading Fintech company is looking for a QA Engineer to join their team and ensure robust, secure products while fully working remotely within the UK. The candidate should have experience with Cypress, strong JavaScript, and SQL knowledge. Responsibilities include driving quality, creating test plans, and monitoring QA metrics. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented and possess a strong understanding of QA methodologies. A salary range of £60,000–£65,000 is offered for this position.

- Experience with Foreign Exchange (FX) systems is desirable.
- Strong grasp of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience using Cypress.

QA Engineer – Fintech | Fully Remote (UK) | £60,000–£65,000
Our client within the Fintech space is scaling rapidly and transforming the way money moves. Quality is at the heart of everything they do, and you’ll play a key role in ensuring their products remain robust, secure and seamless as they continue to grow.
As part of a collaborative full‑stack product team—including product managers, designers, engineers, test engineers, and subject‑matter experts—you’ll help shape their testing strategy and bring their product vision to life.
- Driving quality from initial concept through to final product release
- Creating detailed, well‑structured test plans and test cases
- Building and maintaining automated testing processes
- Expanding and strengthening automated regression test coverage
- Identifying, reporting and working closely with the team to resolve defects
- Contributing to architectural discussions with a focus on testability
- Monitoring and reporting key QA metrics
- Staying ahead of industry trends, tools and testing strategies
- Experience working with Foreign Exchange (FX) systems (desirable but not essential)
- Strong grasp of QA methodologies, tools and best practices
- Hands‑on experience using Cypress
- Solid JavaScript programming skills
- Strong SQL knowledge
- Experience with both white‑box and black‑box testing
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Detail‑oriented, quality‑driven mindset
- High levels of honesty and integrity
- Ability to effectively use AI tools for test planning, documentation and analysis
- Experience with AWS or Azure
