Job summary
A leading food manufacturing company in Harrogate is seeking a motivated Management Accountant/Finance Manager. This role involves financial reporting, supporting management decisions, and enhancing financial processes. We are exclusively partnered with a successful food manufacturing business based in Harrogate, who are seeking a motivated and proactive Management Accountant/Finance Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a growing organisation, working closely with the Finance Director as the number two in finance.
As Management Accountant/Finance Manager, you will take ownership of a wide range of financial responsibilities, supporting decision-making and driving improvements across the business. Your main duties will include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Supporting month-end close and presenting results to management
- Implementing and improving financial processes and controls
- Managing and reporting on stock, including variance analysis
- Partnering with operational teams to provide insight and support
- Contributing to ad-hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives
This role requires regular travel to their sister site twice per week.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Part-qualified or fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
- Experienced in management accounting, ideally within manufacturing or a product-based environment
- A strong communicator, able to build relationships across departments
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable in a hands-on role
- Analytical with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Competitive salary dependent on experience - £45k - £55k
